'KL International Buskers' Festival 2006
The KL International Buskers’ Festival 2006, a purely charity-based event, was held for the first time from 2nd – 10th December 2006 at earmarked venues in the city of Kuala Lumpur. This festival, which was originated from Singapore, was organized by Tourism Malaysia, Pempena Sdn Bhd and Interexpo (M) Sdn Bhd, in conjunction with the Malaysia Year-End Sale 2006 (M-YES 2006) and Visit Malaysia Year 2007. The performances were earlier highlighted at Kuala Lumpur Tower from 3rd – 10th November 2006 with both local & International performers taking parts. All monies received through out the event held were then donated to charity organizations throughout Malaysia.
