21st April - Menara Kuala Lumpur has been given the honour by the Beijing Organizing Committee of The Olympic Games (BOCOG) to host the prestigious Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay, which was 80 Torch Bearers run past unique historical place in Malaysia such as Merdeka Square, National Museum, National Mosque and other attractive places in Kuala Lumpur. Located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Menara Kuala Lumpur as one of Torch Relay location for Olympic that will be held early August, this year at Beijing, China. Mr. khairussaleh Ramli, Group Chief Strategy Officer and Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh Mustapha, Malaysia’s First Astronaut has been part in Torch Bearer. This prestigious Torch Relay has received good responses from school students around Klang Valley as well as Segi College to support this international event. In between, a short speech pertaining to an aerospace has been given by Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor to persuade their interest to the science subject. BASE jump by local jumpers was one of an exhilarating activity during this impressive event.
